What we offer...

Long & Short Term Board

At Avian Retreats, we provide premier boarding services tailored for parrots and parakeets of all sizes, from budgies to macaws. Whether you need short-term care for a few days or long-term boarding for an extended period, our facility is designed to meet the unique needs of your feathered friends. Our experienced team ensures a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment, offering personalized care to keep your birds healthy and happy. Following our policy of allowing birds out of their cages as much as possible, we provide regular social interaction and enriching activities. Avian Retreats is your trusted home away from home for your beloved birds.

Can they come out of the cage?
ABSOLUTLEY!! Our core belief is that birds should be out of their cage as much as possible. As long as their owner allows us, we will have your bird bestie out everyday for as long as possible.

What's on the Menu?
We ask that owners bring their birds' staple pellet or seed mix to ensure dietary consistency. But we provide fresh chopped vegetables every morning and fresh fruit every 3 days (to manage sugar intake). We also provide fresh sprouted seeds for the birds at lunchtime, which they absolutely LOVE!

We understand that some birds may be on a very specific diet and we are more than happy to accommodate them, we just ask that their owners provide the ingredients. We'll do the rest.

Will we get updates on how they are?
YES!!! We are more than happy to send you videos updates at a frequency of your choosing (every day if you'd like). We completely understand how anxiety provoking leaving your bird can be, we find that regular updates are the best remedy for this.

Pricing

Small Sized Birds: (Canary to Budgies): £10 per night

Medium Sized Birds: (Cockatiels to all Conures species): £14 per night

Large Sized Birds: (African Grey to Larger Macaw species): £18 per night

Special Requirements
Should your bird require any prescribed medication that will require the Avian Retreat’s team to restrain them, there will be a £2 per day extra charge incurred.

At Avian Retreats, we know that travel can be stressful for both you and your feathered companion. That’s why we’ve partnered with Ready Steady Jo, a professional bird courier and devoted African Grey mum, to offer a same-day collection and drop-off service.

Jo provides a safe, comfortable, and stress-free journey for your bird, with:
